What is the strategy?

The strategy is a high-level plan to achieve one or more GOAL under conditions of uncertainty - Wikipedia
What you need to pay attention to the above definition is the keyword "goal". The essence to make a regular plan become a strategy is that it must serve one (or more) strategic goals. How is called a strategic goal?

The strategic goal of an enterprise or a company will usually be among one of three following categories:

The strategy has only 3 types of goals: revenue, income or achievement of something

Revenue: is the total proceeds from the sale of products, goods or services and not deducted or calculated of other expenses.

Profit: is the remaining amount of the company after deducting all other expenses including production costs, advertising, taxes, etc.

Achievement of something: Surely it does not need explanation.

Analyzing the  below example:
-        The example of a strategic goal toward revenue is the revenue of 10 billion for this month with a profit margin of 10%, but next month you want to increase sales to 20 billion by willing to sacrifice profit margins and get the loss of 20% (by applying discounts, voucher or promotion, etc. in order to stimulate the purchasing demand). To increase sales, your strategy must generally be directed to the external agents.
-        The example of a strategic goal towards profit is the revenue of 10 billion for this month with the profit margin of 10%, the revenue of next month only need increase slightly by 2 billion, but profit margins have to increase 15% (by reducing production costs, improving working processes, saving costs, reducing marketing costs, etc. to increase profits). To increase profits, your strategy must generally be directed to the internal agents of the enterprise.
-        The example of winning or achieving goals can be winning the election with 80% of the votes or occupying 60% market share in 3 years.

Deduced: All three objectives outlined above are associated with a clear and measurable number (revenue, profit, percentage) and each created strategy must serve the achievement of a predetermined goal.

We will have a more detailed section on how to set goals for digital marketing strategy in Part 2 of the article.
